Bafra Tourism

Situated 51 km west side of the city centre, Bafra is one of the most crowded districts of Samsun with a population of 142.210. The town has been home to a number of civilisations since 4.000 BC. During the excavations held in Ikiztepe area, artifacts of a civilisation which ruled the region for 2.600 years between 4.300 BC and 1.700 BC were found. Since the district is located on a fertile land of Kizilirmak Delta, it is among the most important agricultural regions in Turkey.
