Lighthouse
Bafra Light House was a lifesaving structure for the sailors for ages. Since the town located on an important trade center, vessels have often anchored on the shores of Bafra district. Hence, Ottomans have constructed a wooden light house in order to prevent possible marine accidents. Back then, the light houses on Turk beaches were in French control. The light house destroyed over the time and a new one built to its place, which still operates today. Bafra Light House was handed down to Turkish Republic by French in 1937
