Bafra Tourism

With the establishment of Derbent Dam on Kızılırmak between 1984 and 1990, around 200 buildings in the Bogazkaya neighborhood of Bafra district were inundated. The only structure that survived from inundation was the minaret of the mosque. The unique view of the minaret on the water, made the surrounding environment one of the favourite places of photographers and hikers.
